     Hi

By now many of you will have kitchens fully of dirty dishes and a laundry tubs full of soiled clothes because Ian from ByGum Eucalyptus cleaning has missed two markets.

He has in fact injured his back quite badly and has been ordered to rest by his doctor (and his wife and her rolling pin)

However the news is good and he is allowed to resume light duties which means he will be back next month.

     Hi

Just a gentle reminder that April has 5 Sundays. That means the regular cycle of stallholders is interupted by a rogue Market Day, so make sure you check the list of stallholders to make sure your favourite stallholders are coming.

The fifth Sunday markets are usually very vibrant with some people discovering stallholders they have never met before its a wonderful mix of new and unexpected, so even if your favourites aren't coming its worth dropping in to see who else is !

Now is the ideal time of year to plant garlic. It doesn't need a lot of space and it doesn't need a lot of love but you should use good plant stock. and one which is suited to the region. Its no use planting cold climate varieties now that our climate is warmer for longer.

Make sure you see Rory at Weyhill Garlic this Sunday for tips and planting stock.

On March 5th, I will be shaving my head to raise support for The Thin Green Line Foundation.

The Thin Green Line Foundation is the only organisation in the world solely dedicated to providing necessary aid, equipment, and training to park rangers across the globe (including here in Australia) who, quite literally, put their lives on the line to protect the creatures we share our planet with.

Having been told repeatedly to "put some pork on my fork", I thought I would look into this thing called a ‘fork’.

    Hello,
The beginning of the year always brings into stark contrast the battle between brain and body, particularly this week when the consequences of our bravely made resolutions made last week are starting to pinch and we wonder about the wisdom of our choices and our ability to keep the promises we made to ourselves.

As we launch optimistically into another year of markets I’d like to wish all of you a very happy and prosperous New Year.
